The Covering House hosts its 5th annual Dine for Dignity Gala!

This year's gala and largest fundraiser will highlight the journey of some of our youth while casting vision about expanding our reach.

Join us under the big top to share "A Million Dreams" for youth survivors of sex trafficking - theirs, ours, and yours.

Registration and Payment Information

Once you have purchased a table or tickets, please complete your registration at https://DFD23.givesmart.com or by texting DFD23 to 76278 to add a credit card to your profile. This will allow for a quicker check-in and a seamless checkout, including self checkout. Opt in to receive text messages with important details prior to and during the event. Pre-registration is important so that you can be assigned a bid number. If you do not complete the registration, please see a volunteer at the event check-in help desk. 

Why Do I Need To Add My Credit Card?

If you intend to place bids on silent and live auction items or plan to make a monetary donation during the paddle raise, you will need a credit card on file. Having your card on file will speed up the checkout process and give you access to self-checkout. Our GiveSmart event and bidding platform is compliant with credit card industry security standards. Card information is stored in a tokenized format, which is only readable by the card processing partner, CardConnect. There is no actual credit card data stored in the GiveSmart platform. 

Can I Pay With Cash or Check?

Checks made payable to The Covering House can be accepted. You will need to speak with a volunteer at checkout to confirm your items and pay. We are unable to accept cash at the event.

Pre-Arrival

Email and text confirmations are sent when you register. You can update your attendee details, view your table number, and more. 

Parking

Valet parking is included in your ticket purchase. You may access the valet from the Kingshighway entrance to the hotel. Garage self-park is also available in the Chase Garage, off Maryland Plaza.

Online Bidding

All bidding for silent auction items must be done via your mobile device.

1. Register your cell phone. To place bids on auction items or make a donation, register at https://DFD23.givesmart.com. You can also text DFD23 to 76278 to complete your registration. 
2. Bid via smartphone link. Click the blue link in your welcome text message and it will take you to your personal bidding page. Click on an item you would like to bid on. GiveSmart pre-populates with the next minimum bid so all you have to do is select "Bid."
3. Text to bid. To see the current bid, reply to your welcome text and simply text the three digit item number. Example: "102" then press send. To bid, text the three digit item number and the amount you would like to bid. No dollar sign is needed. Example: "102 300" then press send. You placed a $300 bid on item number 102.

Checkout

Checkout will be located in the Regency Ballroom, near the silent auction. Present your name and display of items or donations you are paying for on your phone. Volunteers will secure your items and process payment.
